About this Site
Finding Stuff
Much of the static content on this site is in plain view in the top menu. In the journal menu on the left, the links will point to blog material according to these criteria:
Within the blog/journal chronology, you can find the following that are either episodic or cumulative in nature:
- Metanoia newsletters in PDF form and basic indexing
- Metanoia personal stories submitted by readers and associates
- Categories that augment aspects of top menu items in a newsworthy way
Aside from the sidebar cartegory menu, you can search by month or tag cloud. You can use the tag cloud page to look for authors’ names that interest you. Writers with more entries will appear in larger and bolder type, as will topics that are used more often. Subscribe in your RSS reader so you don’t miss anything.
The Common Good Podcast has its own journal. Subscription info is posted atop that page.
The Search box in the sidebar is pretty handy too, featuring advanced options.
Comments
Like most blogs, you can leave comments. We also have Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube presences where further input can be offered and dialog can be had. Since we are trying to encourage and be encouraged by others’ efforts (at times being quite vulnerable), so keep it civil and constructive.
Reprinting
JEM does wish to have this content dispersed far and wide, but please honor the following conditions. We are using the Creative Commons license as it appears in the footer section of this site. You may use our material as long as it is not for commercial use, and is credited back as appearing on this website, and that you share alike—that is, do not change these terms upon posting on your site or print article. We plan to have a range of writers, so be alert to who is writing a given post, and the terms within a given post (if present). Some things here might be republished from other sources, so better in those cases to go to the original publication source.
Advertisements
We have no plans to offer ad space at this time. We do appreciate your text links and social media exchanges before our growing audience. To keep our site ad free and focused on our message, we appreciate free will donations of any amount that help us offset our hosting costs with Squarespace (site hosting) and Libsyn (podcast hosting).
Donations/Purchases
There are a few types of buttons for donations on this site. The Artists for Change CD, Shift Happens (workbook), and Reading the Bible Economically (workbook) are available by honor system donation via PayPal. Donations are free will in all cases, so give as the spirit moves you. As far as pricing goes, we’re sure you won’t find a better deal anywhere!
Technical Concerns & Submissions
Email submissions or technical concerns to Ed Lucas or Kyle Holberg.
We have the opportunity to create associate writer-user blogging accounts for parties on a similar path or with specialized interests somewhere under the JEM umbrella. These are accounts that you can use to blog directly to JEM, able to manage your own entries that will be searchable by name and whatever categories or tags you like, or ones already in use. You can enhance JEM by being a beat writer on your topic, at whatever interval you like.
If you are writing for our blog, please try to enter your material directly to the blog entry interface. Copying formatted text does not work well and for best results needs to be redone anyway.
If you are submitting images, please make them at least 500px wide at 72dpi so we have some leeway to fit them according to our style. JPG, GIF, PNG only please.
